year picking up five top fives and 14 top tens. Wilson also picked two top fives and 13 top tens at nearby Ace Speedway in Altamahaw, NC last season showing that the young driver can travel to other tracks and compete as well.
Wilson also has signed two additional associate sponsors for the 2010 season and his run at Caraway's track championship. 93.1 The Wolf radio station in Greensboro, NC and Extreme Gym & Fitness in Asheboro have both signed on as associates sponsors of the Ryan Wilson Motorsports for the 2010 season.
"We're excited about having Randolph Bank back with us for this season," said Wilson. "They were a great addition to the Ryan Wilson Motorsports team last year and for them to believe enough in me to come back on board for another season is pretty special to me. Also to have 93.1 The Wolf and Extreme Gym & Fitness come board is pretty cool, we're certainly blessed to be surrounded by such strong supporters."
Wilson's 2010 season will be a busy one as not only will he compete for the Caraway Speedway track championship in the NASCAR Late Model Stock Car division, but he'll also attempt to compete in selected UARA-STARS Series races. Wilson is currently scheduled to compete in five races starting at Myrtle Beach Speedway in Myrtle Beach, SC and concluding with a start on the one-mile, Rockingham Speedway in Rockingham, NC.
Wilson will also make starts at the historic Greenville Pickens and Hickory Motor Speedway's as well as a start at Concord Speedway, but may add more starts if his Caraway schedule permits.
"While we're focusing on a title run at Caraway, we want to try and venture out a little more this season and continue to get some more seat time and experience on different tracks around the region," commented Wilson. "It will be good for us to make some starts at tracks like Hickory, Myrtle Beach, Greenville Pickens and Concord as well as Rockingham, which is the biggest race track that Late Model Stock Cars compete on."
Wilson certainly hasn't taken the easy road as the competition at both Caraway Speedway and in the UARA-STARS Series features some of the best drivers in Late Model Stock Car racing, which is considered to be the toughest level of racing in the country. However, Wilson's 2009 efforts at Caraway and Ace Speedway's as well as his performances in the season's biggest races qualifying in the top 20 in both races, proves that the young driver is up to the task.
"We had a good 2009 season, but not the results everytime that we had wanted and this year that's where we're hoping to improve our program this season. We had as many little things take us out of top three and top five finishes last season as any team could have and not having that kind of bad luck this season will put us in the thick of the championship battle."
Wilson's 2010 season gets underway on Sunday, March 14th at Caraway Speedway and Wilson's hoping all the off-season preparation will help them get the finishes they deserve this season.
